BHP Billiton Cannington
Design of paste fill conveyor including belt rotation system. The conveyor is specifically designed to minimise segregation of the cement strengthened paste fill material. The structure is elevated above 1 in 100 year flood levels to meet environmental constraints.
Xstrata Black Star
This conveyor is around 600 metres long with a vertical lift of around 70 metres and transfers 1.5 MTPA of crushed ore from the Black Star pit to the existing conveyor system at approximately 42 metres above ground. The conveyor was part of a crushing and screening plant by PacRim.
Glencore Newlands Coal Mine
Redesign of train load-out conveyor system from 3,300 TPH to over 4,100 TPH to minimise train-loading times. Project increased effective train loading rate to 4,750 TPH at minimum cost
Rio Tinto Kestrel
Design of trunk conveyor jib structure (i.e. roof mounted head pulley) and 1,200kW drive base. The jib was roof mounted with tension loads taken into the rib opposite the head pulley to prevent shear loads on the roof mounting bolts.
This was a “brown fields” plant modification to enable the relocation existing longwall mining plant from Crinum underground mine to Crinum East “High Wall” mine.
Fraser Osborn scope included: Design and specification of 4km by 4000 tonne per hour overland conveyor, design of foundations, transfer chutes and associated structures for relocation of 30 metre high stockpiling conveyor, design of extension of reclaim tunnel, design of breaker station and rejects system. Project Value $A33 Million.
JJ Richards - Phoenix Greenwate Conveyors
Fraser-Lever provided the mechanical and structural design for JJ Richards Greenwaste plant in Brisbane. The scope included the design of 8 separate conveyors, chutes, hoppers and all structural components.
